CHARGES APPLY FOR EACH DAY OF BOARDING RATHER THAN PER NIGHT LIKE A HOTEL.
THERE WILL BE A CHARGE FOR THE DAY OF DROPPING OFF AND THE DAY OF COLLECTION. THIS IS TO COVER TIME AND MATERIALS FOR CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF CAT UNITS.
The period booked is the period charged at all times of year. This includes when bookings are shortened on the day of drop off or returning early regardless of the reason for the early return.
Prices from 1 February 2025
For an individual cat in a standard unit: £12.00 per day
For 2 cats sharing a standard unit: £17.00 per day
For 2 or 3 cats sharing a family unit*: £23.00 per day
For 4 cats sharing a family unit: £28.00 per day
We now have a new super deluxe double family unit available and the size is equivalent to two standard family units*. This is available for 5 to 8 cats. Please contact us for pricing.
There is a minimum charge of 2 days’ board for any booking.
Please note that prices above apply to cats sharing from the same household only. Cats not from the same household must not share units. If an owner has more than one cat and separate units are required, these will be charged according to the daily rate per cat(s) and per unit.
Stays of more than one month will be invoiced for payment on the last day of each month and are requested to be paid in full by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Stays of 28 or more consecutive days will attract a discount of 5%.

Unfortunately no reduction can be made if you choose to provide your own food for your cat’s stay; however, if it is a food that we stock we will use our own supplies. Customers are welcome to check with us prior to boarding but we stock a good selection of wet and dry foods including some kitten versions. If allowed, all cats will have a bowl of dry food available at all times along with water. Payment is upon collection. We currently only accept cash or cheques or bank transfers. Bank transfers MUST be cleared before cats are released from our premises. Ideally payments to be made a day or two prior to collection to allow time to be cleared.
1. Charges
Prices are based per day. A charge is made for the day of dropping off and the day of collection, regardless of the time of arrival/dropping off. Charges apply for the arrival and departure days to allow for cleaning, disinfection and preparation of pens.

Monday to Friday 9am to 11 am and 4.30 to 6.00 pm
CLOSED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS
Saturday 9 am to 11 am and 4.30 to 5.30 pm.

Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve – 9 to 11 am unless falling on a Sunday.
CLOSED FOR DROP OFF AND COLLECTION ON CHRISTMAS DAY, BOXING DAY AND NEW YEAR’S DAY.
3. Feeding
Whilst most brands of food can be provided, or an agreeable alternative, special veterinary diets will need to be supplied by the owner. We are unable to provide discounts for any owners bringing their own food.
4. Health & Medication
All cats must be up to date with vaccinations for Feline Herpes Virus, Feline Calcivirus and Feline Panleucopenia.
We do NOT accept pregnant cats.
No cat suffering from or suspected to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival and we reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill-health pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon. Any pre-existing conditions must be advised of at the time of booking.
Medication can be administered when required and specific written instructions must be supplied on arrival. We are sorry we no longer accept diabetic cats.
Any cat showing signs of ill health whilst staying with us, will be taken to your own Veterinary Hospital where possible for treatment – otherwise a local vet will be used and if necessary contact will be made with your own Vet for any current condition still needing treatment. Travel will be charged at 75 pence per mile to cover our extra time, which is often out of our opening hours, and travel costs. There is a minimum charge of £5.00 per journey.
Whilst every care will be taken at all times, all cats are boarded at owner’s risk.
5. Fleas
To help keep the cattery a flea free zone and to prevent spread of fleas, we would be grateful if all owners could treat their cat for fleas prior to boarding. If your cat has not been treated and we find fleas, then we will need to apply a suitable treatment to prevent spread of fleas in the cattery (usually Frontline). We will contact you if possible; however, signing of our boarding form constitutes agreement to treat where cats arrive untreated.
The cost of the flea treatment will be added to the boarding costs together with an additional charge of £10.00 PER UNIT to cover the flea spray product (Indorex) and time for the extra cleaning that will be required daily and also to treat the pen and immediate surrounding area, and also any bedding, scratching posts etc upon departure.
6. Payment & Deposits
Fees are charged for the dates booked including arrival and departure days. We reserve the right to apply minimum charges during the Christmas and New Year period if necessary. Payment is required on collection day either in cash or cheque. We do not accept debit or credit cards. We accept payments by bank transfer: please ask for our bank details. Bank transfers must be completed before collection. If you prefer, payment can be paid on dropping off your cat(s). The minimum booking period for Christmas is 4 days and 3 days for New Year as we are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Deposits are required for first time customers (due to increasing numbers of ‘no shows’) to confirm a booking. If the booking falls in high season the deposit is 50% of the total cost of the booking (1 April to 31 October), and if the booking falls in low season it is 25% of the total cost of the booking (1 November to 31 March). If a new customer makes more than one booking, there is a deposit for each booking.
Failure to receive full settlement of our invoices in accordance with our payment terms may result in the matter being referred to our debt collection agents, K2 Collections Limited, whose charges will be added to the debt and payable in addition to the original invoice debt.
7. General
You are required to sign a ‘boarding form’ the first time you board your cat at Drymere Lodge. This will state that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions. It will also give us permission to administer any medication or treatment necessary, and to seek veterinary advice if required.
An emergency contact telephone number must be supplied for any concerns we may have about your cat’s health.
If any cat is left uncollected for 10 days without contact with Drymere Lodge, explaining the situation, it may be necessary to contact an animal charity, for re homing purposes.
8. Cancellations
We have decided NOT to adopt a cancellation policy. We appreciate that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances cancellations are necessary. We would appreciate as much notice as possible when making cancellations so that we can re-let any reserved pens, and thank you for your consideration in this matter.
9. Early Returns and Shortened Bookings
We accept amendments to bookings without charge provided any change in dates is notified to us before the booking period commences. Customers may pick up earlier, however, the full period booked is still payable.
Cases when the full period booked is the period charged include early return and shortening of booking upon dropping off when a longer period was booked and no notice was received prior to the first day of boarding.
We kindly ask customers to respect this policy as at such short notice we cannot offer those dates to other customers and are likely to have turned customers away. We ask customers to make a note of the dates booked and if any changes arise to notify us immediately so we can offer any dates not required to other customers.
